Visiting Fellows

Hier de subtitel

Through the generous support of the Fulbright Center, the RIAS regularly hosts internationally distinguished visitors from the United States, who use the Institute as a base for research, teaching, and public outreach in Europe.

In 2006 a rotating Fulbright Distinguished Research Chair at the Roosevelt Study Center was established in cooperation with the Fulbright Scholar Program.

This prestigious chair allows prominent US scholars in the field of US history and American Studies to be affiliated for a four-month period with the RIAS and to work on a contracted book project or article(s) for a peer-reviewed academic journal. Awards in the Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program are viewed as among the most prestigious appointments in the Fulbright Scholar Program.

The RIAS continues to host a Fulbright Distinguished Research Chair on a rotating basis. Applications for a Fulbright grant at RIAS should be submitted to the Fulbright organization.
