The RIAS invites applications for its 2028 Visiting Professorship and Visiting Fellowship. Scholars are welcome to apply for one of three residency opportunities:
- Visiting Professorship on the U.S. in the World
- Visiting Professorship on Environmental Humanities
- Visiting Fellowship on U.S. History, Politics, and Society.
Residencies in Middelburg last four to eight weeks and include a one-time stipend of €6,000 to support travel and living expenses. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with all applications received by 31 October 2026 considered for the 2028 residency cycle.
