TREnD Staff Training Program
The RIAS is a proud funding partner of TREnD – Teaching Resilience and Environmental Democracy – an international network funded through the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. TREnD develops and shares innovative immersive learning approaches that combine virtual exchange and virtual reality (VR) in higher education.
Our aim is to support students’ intercultural communication, digital skills, and environmental awareness through programs that are collaborative, research-informed, and transferable across institutions.
What you will explore
This Staff Training Program is open to instructors, teachers, and educators from any institution who want practical and conceptual tools to innovate their teaching. Key themes include:
- Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and virtual exchange design
- Education for Sustainable Development (ESD): goals, methods, and classroom applications
- Critical mapping for environmental and social challenges
- Virtual reality tools and immersive learning in higher education
Format and certification
Sessions are delivered as live webinars via Zoom. Successful attendance will be certified by the RIAS.
