Parish Index

The Parish Index is arranged alphabetically by 64 parishes of Louisiana. Under each parish, newspapers are then chronologically listed by the extant year of publication (the earliest extant issues). One asterisk at the end of the title indicates it is the current journal of parish, double asterisks for the previous journal; asterisk at the end of the date indicates the extant issue(s) are not found in any Louisiana repositories but at other state’s library or at a publiher’s office or private collector.

Chronological Index

The Chronological Index is arranged chronologically by extant year of publication. Each newspaper also has the same information as the Parish index.
