The RIAS celebrates five years since its re-launch in 2017!
This has been an exciting and productive period for our institute. The rebranding process (new name, new logo, new website) also included a new research agenda under the title The Rooseveltian Century, with several PhD projects, an online course, and a major international conference. This has been followed up by the Racial Democracy research agenda, with an equally impressive array of activities.
In 2020 the institute moved location to the beautiful setting of the Zeeuws Archief, an ideal environment for our library, archive, and seminars.
The RIAS is perfectly placed to play an important role in the coming years, both in Middelburg and in the university world, and we look forward to the next five years!
